TOP 5 LIP CARE PRODUCTS I’M OBSESSED WITH

IMG_3158With the winter weather hopefully behind us I thought it would be the perfect time to write a post compiling all my favourite lip care products. I often suffer from dry lips, which is a) uncomfortable at times and b) a NIGHTMARE when wearing a matte lip…eek!

So, because of this, I’m always trying and testing new products to cure chapped lips and I thought I would share some of my staple products that will transform them, leaving your lips soft and luscious! Here are the products to help you do so…

LUSH BUBBLEGUM LIP SCRUB, £5.95

So this is one of my favourite LUSH products of all time. The Lip Scrub is one of those wonder products you really can’t live without. Made with only 6 ingredients, the main two being caster sugar and Jojoba oil, means you simply scrub your lips and then lick of the residue! The sugar gently buffs away any dry skin while the Jojoba oil soaks in and leaves lips super soft.

KIEHL’S LIP BALM #1, £10.00

Another cult product, the Kiehl’s Lip Balm has been a firm favourite of mine for a while now. Made with Squalane and Vitamin E, it’s super moisturising and perfect for protecting lips in cold weather. It’s best to apply liberally and let it soak in. I keep a tube of this in my bathroom, and apply it after doing my makeup, before I put my lippy on and I’ve also incorporated it into my skincare regime before bed, letting it soak in overnight. I would definitely recommend it!

SEPHORA HONEY LIP SCRUB, €4.99

If you’re anything like me, you’ll know the importance of keeping a lip balm handy at all times. But what about a lip scrub for on-the-go? Sephora has answered our prayers! The Honey Lip Scrub looks like a lip balm and well, acts like a lip balm, except it contains exfoliating sugar granules to buff away dry skin. It’s so easy to use and mess-free, I’ve seen a huge difference since I started using it.

LANOLIPS LEMONAID LIP TREATMENT, £8.99

I have been a fan of Lanolips for years now, and have always sworn by their 101 Ointment. So when I discovered this I was eager to try it, and have not been disappointed! The secret to the Lanolips products, is the key ingredient – Lanolin. Found in sheep wool, Lanolin mimics the skin’s moisture molecules and allows the skin to self-hydrate. The Lemonaid Lip Treatment has a light shimmer and a subtle, natural lemon scent. It leaves my lips super soft and plumped looking.

YVES ROCHER CHERRY LIP BALM, £3.90

I discovered this brand when I moved to Barcelona and it has become one of my go-to shops for their reasonably priced high quality body care (scrubs, shower gels, moisturisers etc). My favourite products of theirs have to be their lip balms. One of the most annoying thing about having dry lips is that you can’t wear lippie without looking scaly, so tinted lip balms become your best friend! These balms give a touch of colour whilst hydrating your lips. And they are under a fiver!

I hope this wee guide has helped anyone also suffering from chapped lips! If you try any of the products please let me know what you thought of them!
